Ive been in the hair and beauty industry for 11 years since graduating from the Paul Mitchell institute in 2012. I was raised in a small, rural area of Arkansas and lived there most of my life until almost 5 years ago, when my family and I moved to the Carolinas. I knew from a very young age I wanted to be involved in the beauty industry. While growing up there wasnt much to do in a small town. I was always begging to practice make-up and hair styles on my 3 sisters. Soon, parents began asking me to do their kids hair and make up for homecomings, prom pictures, etc. From the start, it always made me feel good to help others feel and look their best. My goal remains to continue my education as the beauty industry professional who continuously grows and educates my clients on what is best for their hair, too! I strive to teach my clients how to achieve the look I create on themselves at home. I am a great listener (my husband would say a great talker, too) and will do my best to make you happy! My parents always told me if you love what you do, youll never work a day in your life. I find that to be very true! :) If I am not busy glamming others, you can find me with my family. Kimberly A. Artis is a licensed North and South Carolina Massage and Bodywork Therapist (LMBT). After 11 years of experience in massage therapy, Kimberly opened her own office, Serenity’s Place Massage & Bodywork LLC, located in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

Kimberly was born and raised in Ahoskie, North Carolina. There, she graduated Top 30 of her class with honors. After high school, Kimberly attended Winston-Salem State University (“WSSU”), where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Sports Medicine. While attending WSSU, Kimberly found her passion while working as a student athletic trainer. Kimberly was amazed at how the body healed itself through regular treatments and also how stretching and proper exercises could help prevent injuries. After college, Kimberly’s newfound interest in massage led her to attend Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage. While at Southeastern, Kimberly discovered that she found joy in helping others treat their injuries and alleviate pain through massage techniques. Today, Kimberly has worked with hundreds of clients, assisting them in their journey of healing from physical injuries, alleviating stress, and/or simply helping them relax. Kimberly has certifications in multiple areas, including but not limited to Sports Massage, Tigger Point Therapy, and Total Body Stretch. Natural healing is Kimberly’s way of life – she would not trade it for the world.
